I was born in Connecticut on August 6, 1991. I grew up in Atlanta, and now attend High Point University, in High Point, NC.
My previous work experience consists of various odd jobs and internships. When I was a junior in high school, I worked in the house of a friend of mine, helping to add sheet rock to their attic cieling, for pay. One year later, I worked as an intern in the Emory Autism Center, in Decatur, Georgia, as an assistant teacher at a preschool for children with Autism.
This summer, I will be working a full time summer job out in New Mexico as a Ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch. Philmont is a high adventure summer camp for boy scouts, in which troops go hiking for two weeks in the New Mexico wilderness, participating in various activities along the way such as rifle shooting, fishing, archery, and rock climbing. As a ranger, my job is to assist the scout troops, explaining the rules for camp and fulfilling any other needs as they make their way through the trails for their first three days.
I have gone through various phases throughout my life, in which I have had passion and creative ideas in one area. When I was little, I drew pictures. Later on, I wrote stories. In middle school, I drew comics, and then starting about eighth grade, I started doing music. Nowadays, I tend to switch off between each of these as personal hobbies, but out of all of these hobbies my current focus is music. What initially lighted the spark was being in a band in eighth grade. We broke up after two years of playing together, and I continued to write songs all throughout high school and college. Whether I'll actually make it big or not, who knows, but at the moment I am planning to at least "put myself out there" in the near future. Currently, though, my music is more of an outlet, or a pastime. As far as a full time career goes, I am still seeking out what that will be, exactly.
Some of my ideas include working in a television or recording studio. This is ultimately the road I feel that my major will lead me down. Another idea I have is to be a journalist, for a magazine or a newspaper. I have always been a good writer, so I figure I may have an advantage in this area. Another possible idea would be to take over my father's business, which is essentially interviewing people and placing them into jobs. I don't know much about what he does, but all I know is that if the economy doesn't look up in the future, there would be a lot of people looking for a guy to do that.
